WEBSITES FOR BUSINESSES, CHARITIES & VOLUNTARY SECTOR

If you’re a small business looking to sell business to consumer (B2C) or business to business (B2B) I can set up an online shop for you, so you can sell 24/7/365 and take payments via PayPal, Stripe or some other platform.

If you’re a charity wanting to set up an online donation page, I can help – and can also sort you out with an email newsletter to help promote your cause.

Or if you’re after a one-page website to tell people who you are and what you do, I can do that – with email contact form, image gallery, Google map, and a clever widget that lets someone call your mobile phone from your site at the touch of a button.

All my sites are responsive, so they work on desktops, laptops, tablets and mobile phones.

In addition to designing and creating my own sites, I’ve made websites for other small businesses, charities and voluntary organisations.

SEO built in

From the outset, my sites are built with search engine optimisation (SEO) in mind.

I’ll make sure that relevant keywords are embedded in your site’s pages and that other on-page and off-page factors are addressed when I build your site.

However, if you want your site to rank highly on Google, you might like to consider my monthly ongoing optimisation package.

DIY makeovers

Some websites have been built from scratch while others are makeovers of existing sites.

The majority of my clients are people who have made their own sites using WordPress, Wix or some other platform and who have found that their site isn’t working as they expected, doesn’t look professional enough or is too time-consuming to maintain.

Manage your own website

I design websites using the popular WordPress content management system (CMS), usually combined with the Elementor page builder and – for online stores – WooCommerce.

To boost performance, my sites have the Imagify image compression plugin and the WP Rocket plugin loaded.

Using WordPress lets me build a site and then either manage it or hand over responsibility for the day-to-day running to you.

WordPress is a well-known, well-tried and well-trusted platform, with plenty of support and documentation available.

If you decide to look after the site yourself, that means there’s plenty of help available and if you decide at some point to take your site elsewhere (I hope you won’t, but these things happen), you shouldn’t have any trouble finding someone else to take it over (though you’ll lose all the plugins I’ve added!).

Wondering how much all this will cost? Less than you think – as you can see from my prices.

I’m also keen on website security, which you can read more about in my blog post There’s more to website security than SSL.
